Line up

The following artists will perform at Amsterdam Calling 2018.

Emmelie de Forrest

Gréta Salóme (born 11 November 1986), is an Icelandic singer, songwriter, and violinist in the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra. She represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan in a duet with singer Jónsi with the song “Never Forget”.  Greta represented Iceland again in 2016, this time as a soloist with the song and fan favourite “Hear Them Calling”

Nathan Trent (born 4 April 1992), son of an Austrian father and an Italian mother, released his debut single “Like It Is” in June 2016. On 19 December 2016, Nathan was announced as the Austrian representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song “Running on Air”. At the time of his selection as the Austrian entrant, Trent was one of the 33 artists that had been shortlisted in Unser Song 2017, the contest to select the German entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. As a performer cannot represent more than one country in the same year, he obviously represented his home country. In the video below, made last December, Nathan announces his performance at Amsterdam Calling 2018.

Poli Genova (born 10 February 1987) is a Bulgarian singer who represented her country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Germany with her entry “Na inat” (Out of spite). Although failing to qualify to the final Genova would return to the Eurovision five years later, representing Bulgaria for the second time in Stockholm, Sweden in 2016 with the song “If love was a crime” and reached fourth place in the finals – a record for the country.  In the aftermath of her Eurovision success Poli has gone on to become a coach on The Voice of Bulgaria. She also hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Anne-Marie David (23 May, 1952) was born and raised in Arles, France. In 1973, she was selected to represent Luxembourg and managed to repeat its previous year’s triumph on home soil in the Eurovision Song Contest. She returned to Eurovision in the 1979 contest, then held in Jerusalem, Israel. This time she represented her native county France with the song “Je suis l’enfant soleil”. She ended up in third position. Anne-Marie retired from her singing career in 1987, but fortunately she decided to return in 2003. She is ready and able to perform at Amsterdam Calling.

Esther Hart (3 June, 1970) will not only perform on Amsterdam Calling 2018, but she will host the show as well, as she did succesfully in the past two years. Esther won the national preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 with the song “One more night”. Initially she was also set to participate to the British preselection, but the withdrew when she reached the Dutch finals. During the Eurovision Song Contest she was rewarded with the Artistic Award. She is now is also a singing coach to Dutch artists such as Marco Borsato.

Afterwards Euro-dj’s will provide lots of danceable Eurovision-beats.

Tickets to Amsterdam Calling are available at Ticketmaster as from December 29th, 2017 at 10 am. Ticketprices will be € 24,75 (incl. Melkweg-membership, ex. reservation fee.)
